Tom Coughlan - Founder

Tom Coughlan is the founder of Urban Green Private. Following his graduation from UCC as a civil engineer, Tom started his working life with ESB International. A natural entrepreneur, he quickly moved to the private sector to start his own business, which has evolved to become Urban Green Private.

Daniel O'Brien - Chief Executive Officer

Daniel is a qualified quantity Surveyor with more than 20 years of experience on construction projects working with Ireland's leading contractors, overseeing the construction of major residential and commercial developments.

Niamh Sammon - Head of Operations

Niamh Sammon is a Head of Operations with over 12 years’ experience managing shopping centres and mixed-use assets. She specialises in operations, budgeting and financial control, tenant relations, marketing and events, HR management, and delivering capex and ESG initiatives. Niamh is known for her hands-on leadership style and her ability to drive efficient, well-performing, and sustainable assets.

Yaarsh Jayabalan - Head of Finance

Yaarsh is a Chartered Accountant with experience scaling finance functions across multinational and SME environments. Currently leads the group-wide finance function with responsibility for financial reporting, liquidity management, statutory and regulatory compliance.

Simon Cooper - Head of Property

Michael Collins- Facilities

Michael has worked in sales for most of his career predominantly in the chemical industry. He has a wide and varied experience including sales and team management, market expansion & operations. Michael brings a lot of skills to UGP and will work in managing maintenance across the UGP portfolio of properties. 

Simon is the Head of Property with over 25 years of experience in the Irish commercial property sector. He has worked on the most prominent retail high street and shopping centre projects in Ireland alongside leading developers, institutional landlords and a host of local and multinational tenants.

Jason Reidy - Residential Property Manager

Jason joined UGP in 2022 and leads our Residential Properties Team across Cork and Limerick and Clare. With a strong background in Hotel Management, Private Security and Training and Development, Jason brings a wealth of  experience and a varied skill set to the group.

Caroline Brindley - Group Marketing Manager

Caroline is an experienced and results-driven marketing professional with over ten years in B2B and B2C brand management and communication with expertise in developing innovative campaigns, digital marketing strategies, and compelling brand narratives that drive awareness, engagement, and growth.

Ann O’Dowd - Executive Assistant

Ann is an Executive Assistant with years of experience supporting senior executives in fast paced environments. Ann has an accounts and finance background and is known for exceptional organisational skills, discretion and the ability to manage complex schedules and confidential information with accuracy and professionalism.

Fintan Barrett - Interior Architect / CAD Executive

Fintan is a recent Interior Architecture Graduate from MTU Cork, who is beginning his career in the design industry. He enjoys the process of repurposing existing spaces to create vibrant, collaborative and communal areas and is looking forward to expanding his skillset while working at Urban Green private.

Shauna Murray - Marketing Executive

Shauna is a dynamic Marketing and Events Executive with a knack for creating impactful brand experiences. Skilled in campaign planning, event management, and audience engagement, Shauna brings creativity, organisation, and strategic insight to every project—delivering memorable moments that drive results.

Macdara Heaney - Analyst

Macdara holds an MSc in Finance and has a background as an economist specialising in property research and advisory. He provides market analysis and strategic insight to inform investment, development, and asset management decisions across the firm’s portfolio.
